Quality Engineer- Baker Hughes, Dubai
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, reporting to Plant Manager you will be responsible for plant wide quality. You will collaborate with your team to ensure our manufacturing and testing processes are thorough and identify improvements and enhancements.
You will be able to develop your skill-set quickly in a fast-moving environment. You will be responsible for Quality aspects linked to key processes including conformity, process improvement, problem solving and root cause corrective action, non-conformity management, communication of performance against quality targets, risk and preventative action initiatives.
You will act as an interface to the customer on aspects relating to project Quality (i.e. Contract Review, Quality Plans, Quality Program Reviews) Quality Engineer will manage NC Quality and Operational Excellence for Middle East, SSA Region including: Commercial, Technology, and Service Functions.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Tracking and handling Customer Success
Improving Quality metric targets & action plan(s) to close gaps
Advancing Continuous Improvement Culture – Reactive through RCA/NCAs and Proactive through Lean Workouts, Productivity and Six Sigma Projects.
Handling quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
Supporting manufacturing, testing, Logistics quality processes on the production floor
Coordinating with Shop Quality Leads to sustain Quality Management System Certifications
Representing to top leadership the Voice of Quality (Customers, Employees and Products Field Reliability)
Sharing lessons learned across the Network, NCA\RCA outcomes and conduct process optimization.
Taking a Lean Six Sigma approach, shaping strategic projects to improve process capabilities, quality, fulfillment, safety and productivity.
Ensuring compliance by auditing and educating assembly team on procedures
Managing regional KPIs such as: NPS, CoPQ, Stop the Lines and Customer Issue Resolution Cases
Developing Installed base systems for Software, Services and Products
Spreading Quality message through training, support, awareness, and responsiveness to quality issues.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a good working knowledge of Quality tools, lean concepts and root cause analysis
Have knowledge of the principles of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Have good experience in coating processes and knowledge of the TPM and 5S program;
Have a Bachelor's degree (or a high school diploma / GED with proven experience in Quality).
Have minimum of 3 yrs of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Materials and/or related field
Have extensive knowledge and experience of manufacturing techniques and principles such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Have Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface with large cross-section of BH business and external stakeholders. Professional attributes allowing effective communication with customers, auditors, etc.
Have analytical skills & experience in performing Root Cause Analysis
Show excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Be green belt and black belt certified
Experience Leading cross functional improvement projects
Be a motivated self-starter with a result oriented mindset and an ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrate ability to examine processes to look for improvement opportunities
Able to calculate quality financials
