 Social Media Specialist – IDP Education, UAE and Oman

POSITION PURPOSE

The Social Media Specialist role is responsible for the ongoing management and growth of IDP’s UAE social media presence in alignment with business strategies and direction. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Social Media Management

Develops creative content across owned social channels including blog posts, tweets, status updates, pins, photos and videos. Attends IDP events to cover live sessions & posts content.  

Creates, manages, and grows business presence across social media channels, including, but not limited to blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.

Leverages measurement tools to provide progress reports and insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.

Alert marketing management to any major negative conversations about IDP brand and services and collaborate with team to develop measures to protect and enhance IDP image online.

Competition Monitoring

Monitor competitive activity on social media and audience interactions.

Suggest and develop online activities to counter competitive activities

Knowledge Development

Continuously update own knowledge of social media best practices and latest trends and share learnings with relevant team members to enhance IDP  marketing efforts

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential requirements:

Knowledge of Digital Marketing current best practices and understanding of Digital production processes

Knowledge of key social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin & Tik Tok) and analytics software (Hootsuite, Raven Tools, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).

Knowledge social media paid advertising campaigns including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter is a plus!

Strong understanding of user-generated content management, content marketing and reputation management.

Strategic content creation and excellent writing skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Knowledge of Arabic language is preferred.

Experience with social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn.

Employment: Full Time

As a Graphic Designer – Social media, you will work collaboratively with our marketing, sales, and product team to champion a consistent and well-understood identity for a range of technical digital products, while also ensuring that our design and development teams are producing creative assets that drive engagement and results.

EXPECTATIONS - You will be expected to:

• Work on social media banners, campaign imagery across multiple social media platforms, video content, PPT, and general design work across visual assets.

• Work closely with the marketing team to create and execute winning ideas and campaigns.

• Be familiar with fintech, crypto and understand the feel and aesthetic of trusted financial products.

• Share your ideas and skills with the marketing team and manager to ensure the best results for each campaign created.

• Produce content to be posted on different social networks that will increase traffic and will be appealing for target audiences.

• Create content specifically tailored to the channel being used for the communication.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understands and is up to date with current crypto trends, NFTs, etc.

• Ability to collaborate with our marketing team to craft compelling stories through copy, video, animation, illustration, and photography

• Demonstrate a modern portfolio of work

• Extensive social media knowledge and expertise (especially Discord, Telegram, Twitter, and YouTube)

• Understand the logic behind Social Networks, and SubCultures.

• Fluency in communicating in English

• Expert knowledge of tools like Figma and the Adobe Suite (After Effects an advantage)

• Good knowledge of branding and following brand guidelines

• Has a hard work ethic, is passionate, driven and loves what they do

• Always look to innovate! Actively push the boundaries, challenging your own creativity to maximize engagement and meet campaign objectives.

• Being a self-starter, but also a team player with a great collaborative attitude

Salary:

AED 7,000 to 10,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Sense of humor, positive attitude, and passion for digital media

• Strong design sensibilities

• Very familiar with Discord and Reddit

• Ability to do simple video editing and motion graphics is huge

• High knowledge of how the social channels function.

• Must. Know. Memes.

• Strong illustration skills

• Lottie animations are a big plus

• Self-starter who understands how and when to be proactive as well as an effective team player

• Mac and PC

• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• Creative thinker and innovator, in touch with the Gen Z Audience.

• Identify opportunities for applying new technologies and trends to social channels.

SCOPE:

• Responsible for creating engaging memes, stickers, infographics and short-form videos.

EDUCATION:

• High school or Degree is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Animation, or Media preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years of design, video and social media experience preferred.

• Experience in a creative agency is a plus but not mandatory
