Etihad Airways is hiring in Abu Dhabi
For jobseekers looking to pursue a career in aviation, here’s news for you. The country’s national carrier, Etihad Airways, is hiring cabin crew members next month.
The assessment days in Abu Dhabi will be October 2 and 23, 2013.
To qualify for assessment you should be at least 21 years of age, fluent in English, which means you should be good in verbal, written and comprehension. Fluency in another language is an advantage.
Another requirement that has been included is that you should be a good swimmer.
The airline asks applicants to be able to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Other physical traits include no visible tattoos whilst wearing the Etihad uniform.
Body piercings should also not be visible whilst wearing the official uniform, other than one earring in the lower lobe of each ear for females only.
On the education front, you should be educated to a minimum level of accredited secondary education or equivalent with an excellent personal presentation, style and image coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The applicant should be willing to comply with UAE and GCAA visa, medical and health screening requirements and have a clean past record, which means that you should have never been convicted of a criminal offense.
The airline has not specified the salary level, but it promises to offer a “fantastic tax-free salary which is competitive within the industry and reviewed on a regular basis.”
Besides this, free accommodation is provided in a modern shared fully-furnished apartment, with your own private facilities.
“Everything is provided for you to ensure that you have a safe, secure and comfortable home in Abu Dhabi,” the airline states.
Transportation from accommodation to the airport for flight duties is given and then to bring you back home again after your flight.
Cabin crew members have access to Etihad swimming pools, health clubs and fitness centres at no cost, and reduced rate massage, hairdressing and beauty treatments to keep you looking your best.
Leading airline travel benefits include unlimited personal travel at special rates, an annual leave ticket and generous concessions for family and friends to use.
Free private medical insurance and life/accident insurance is also included.
You will also be entitled to an annual leave of 30 days besides the special discounts at restaurants, shops, hotels and leisure facilities across the United Arab Emirates and the region.
