services for grouting applications and concrete mattresses in the offshore construction
industry. With almost 51 years of continuous service throughout the world, working for
all the major Operators and Construction/ Installation Contractors, the Company has
established track record of achievement in the delivery of offshore grouting projects and
products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Design:
o Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resources for
electrical systems.
o Design electrical systems and components, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and
operational standards.
o Prepare specifications for electrical equipment, materials, and tools.
o Create electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams using software tools (e.g.,
AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software).
o Conduct load calculations, energy audits, and power distribution planning for
electrical systems.
Project Management:
o Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring all
project objectives are met on time and within budget.
o Collaborate with other engineering teams, architects, contractors, and clients to
ensure the project requirements are well understood and met.
o Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and track progress against timelines.
o Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors involved in the
electrical aspects of the project.
o Ensure that all project documentation, such as contracts, drawings, and change
orders, is up to date and accurately reflects the scope of work.
Implementation and Execution:
o Supervise and monitor the installation of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring
on-site.
o Ensure that electrical installations are carried out safely, following industry
standards and regulations.
o Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to electrical systems during installation.
o Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure electrical components and
systems meet design specifications and safety codes.
o Perform electrical testing, including commissioning, to verify system performance
and safety.
Budget and Cost Management:
o Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical system design, materials, and labor.
o Monitor project expenses, track costs, and ensure the project stays within the
allocated budget.
o Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best pricing and terms for
electrical materials and equipment.
o Prepare financial reports and ensure that any cost variances are identified and
addressed promptly.
Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and environmental
standards during the design, installation, and operation of electrical systems.
o Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for electrical hazards
on the job site.
o Prepare safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and
safety plans, and ensure the safety of all team members involved in the electrical
work.
o Ensure that all electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant local, state,
and national electrical codes and standards.
Communication and Reporting:
o Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams
regarding all electrical engineering aspects of the project.
o Provide regular progress updates and status reports to senior management and
clients.
o Communicate with other departments (e.g., mechanical, civil) to ensure cross-
discipline coordination and successful integration of electrical systems within the
broader project.
o Resolve any technical issues or disputes that arise during the project and provide
solutions in a timely manner.
Testing, Commissioning, and Handover:
o Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they operate
correctly and efficiently.
o Ensure that all necessary inspections are conducted and that systems pass quality
assurance testing.
o Prepare project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, manuals, and
warranty information.
o Handover the completed electrical systems to the client, ensuring they are fully
operational and meet all agreed specifications

Electrical Project Engineers typically work in an office setting for planning and design, but they may

execution during all phases of the project
PERSON SPECIFICATION (QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Experience: Several years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on project
management, construction, or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, etc.), project
management tools (MS Project, Primavera), and understanding of electrical codes and standards.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of electrical systems, energy distribution, renewable energy
sources, and sustainability in electrical designs.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
