Responsibilities
Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and timely payment.
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, daily cash flow and reconciliations.
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Perform bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing supporting schedules and analyses.
Support the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records, both physical and electronic. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and efficient processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Stay up-to-date on current accounting regulations and best practices, particularly IFRS.
Contribute to a strong control environment by adhering to internal policies and procedures. Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the general ledger Support month-end and year-end closing processes Assist in payroll preparation and tax filings
Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Experience with other GAAP is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the financial services industry, particularly online trading or brokerage, is a significant advantage. ACCA, ACA, or other relevant professional accounting qualification is a plus.
Business level proficiency in English or above (equivalent to B2 or above in CEFR)
