What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

    You will oversee all operational activities related to People and Culture, ensuring the Department runs smoothly and effectively meets the People and Culture needs across the Residences. This role, under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of People & Culture, is crucial for maintaining our commitment to a Guest Centric experience.
    You will also ensure that all the business unit are in full compliance with the local labor laws and regulations.
    You will oversee and implement the complete process and comprehensive administration of labor work permits, entry and residence visa applications, Emirates IDs, and will also be responsible for ensuring that all renewals are completed.
    You will be responsible with ensuring that employees are certified in the mandatory government training as required by law.
    You will also contribute to the processes and activities that create and promote the Dorchester Collection culture and values bringing the Company Philosophy “We Care” to life to ensure our employees receive nothing but the best experience.
    You will represent the People & Culture Management in their absence and offer assistance across all aspects of the People & Culture function.

    You will enhance employee engagement by coordinating social activities and internal events.
    You will work with the Director of Operations Residences and Managers to ensure that the correct talent is being recruited at all times and to ensure that the right people are recruited and trained into the various roles they will fulfill.
    You will provide advice and guidance to both managers and employees on Human Resources policies, legal requirements, staffing issues, and act as an arbitrator where necessary.
    You will support the employees by offering counselling, guidance, and career planning, as well as managing disciplinary issues, while also assisting in the execution of development and performance evaluations.
    You will be instrumental in supporting and the implementation of the People & Culture training systems and processes to ensure that employees have all the necessary framework and skills to perform their job efficiently and effectively.
    It will be critical to oversee the internal communication strategy to engage employees behind the company’s vision, values, service and operational goals.

    You have a talent for building lasting relationships with internal and external customers  and passion for working in hospitality.
    You are skilled in talent sourcing and able to demonstrate effective problem solving skills and analysis of the situation and trends to develop and apply appropriate strategies.
    With excellent ability to multi-task and superb time-management skills, you will be great in planning, organising and  implementing various initiatives and events to ensure that our staff are fully engaged at all phases of their employment.
    You are adaptable to the ideas of different cultures, settings and situations.
    As a detail orientate and hands on Team Player with strong interpersonal skills, you will thrive on mentoring team members to achieve better results and celebrate success within the team.
    Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service and business ethic.
    English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
    You will have a relevant professional certification or hotel school diploma and bring wealth of past experience working in similar capacity for luxury hotels. Your previous experience in the Middle East will be a competitive advantage.
