Job Summary
The Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial stability and operational integrity of Rize. This position involves overseeing risk management frameworks, approving key financial transactions, and fostering a culture of compliance and innovation. The Risk Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine policies and mentor junior staff, contributing to the company’s growth and success.

Job Responsibilities

    Exercise authority to approve daily transactions, ensuring alignment with risk policies.
    Lead and actively engage in multiple areas of risk management, including credit, underwriting, and collections.
    Develop and update underwriting, collection, and approval policies to enhance operational efficiency.
    Report team activities, achievements, and challenges to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    Provide mentorship and professional development support to junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Job Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
    At least 4 years of experience in risk management, with expertise in credit, collections, or underwriting.
    Proven ability to design and implement effective risk management frameworks.
    Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a focus on data-driven outcomes.
    Experience with technology-driven tools and AI/ML methodologies for risk assessment.
    Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    Familiarity with the FinTech or financial services industry is a plus.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    Accuracy and Timeliness of Approvals: Ensure high accuracy and quick turnaround times for approvals.
    Team Performance Metrics: Monitor and improve productivity, quality, and overall team performance.
    Effectiveness of Policy Improvements: Assess the impact and efficiency of updated risk policies.
    Quality of Reporting to Management: Deliver clear, comprehensive, and actionable reports to senior management.
