About the role

Victoria International School of Sharjah is seeking an experienced and dynamic International K-10 School Principal to lead our progressive, school on the picturesque East coast of Sharjah the UAE. The school is staffed with an international teaching profile, the students and community are predominately Emirati, offering a wonderful blend of culture and understanding

As the Campus Principal, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the school's operations and driving continuous improvement to provide an exceptional educational experience for our students. This role is supported by VISS Group Executive including Director of Education and VISS group CEO

What you'll be doing

    Providing strategic leadership and vision to the school, ensuring alignment with the school's mission, values and educational objectives
    Overseeing the development and implementation of the school's curriculum, teaching and learning programs
    Managing and developing a high-performing team of teachers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
    Ensure the school operates in compliance with relevant educational regulations and guidelines
    Cultivating strong relationships with students, parents, and the broader school community
    Ensuring the school's compliance with all relevant educational regulations and standards
    Monitoring and continuously improving the school's academic performance and student outcomes
    Managing the school's budget and resources to support the delivery of quality educational services


What we're looking for

    Minimum 2 years of experience as a school principal or in a senior leadership role within the education sector
    Strong understanding of international curriculum frameworks and best practices in teaching and learning
    Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams
    Familiarity with international education systems and a commitment to delivering a world-class education
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders
    Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and innovation in an educational setting
    Relevant postgraduate qualifications in education, educational leadership or a related field

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    Educational qualification required- Bachelor’s degree minimum, Masters preferred
    Experience in a senior educational leader – Head of School, Deputy Principal, etc.
    Current registration with an education body preferred (ie VIT, QTS etc)
    Management experience essential
    Australian curriculum advantage but not essential
