Sharjah English School (SES) is a small, inclusive, non-for-profit school, occupying a spacious and attractive campus in close proximity to Dubai. We are a well-established co-educational school offering the National Curriculum to 1100 children from Foundation through to A Level. As well as serving the local British expatriate community, the school has students from many other nationalities. We are a British School Overseas and British Schools of the Middle East accredited school. The Role: Assistant Head Primary- Data & Curriculum Adaptation

For August 2025 we are seeking a passionate Assistant Head Primary to join our committed team. This new role will develop and implement robust, effective and consistent assessment systems that ensure high standards of teaching and learning, accurate tracking of pupil progress and improved student outcomes.


Personal Specifications:

    Outstanding teacher with a minimum of five years teaching.
    Excellent understanding of data as an aid to improving outcomes.
    Be a highly effective communicator who has experience in senior leadership.
    This role requires an experienced leader who can translate data into impactful actions that support student success and school improvement.
    An in-depth and up to date knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
    A strong personal presence and demonstrate high level interpersonal skills
    Resilient and proactive, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.


The successful candidate must have the following:

    A B.Ed or BA degree in Primary subject with PGCE.
    Proven track record in fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere.
    Be a passionate educator dedicated to the well-being, social and academic progress of each student.
    Knowledge and experience of the UAE inspection framework
    Experience which will make a significant contribution to the wider life of the school.

All candidates are required to upload a comprehensive CV along with a covering letter outlining the competencies required to support their application. Applicants must also complete and upload the SES application form as attached with the advert.
