For our Unit Life Europe, LatAm & MENA we are seeking to appoint a Junior Underwriter Life / Health based in our Dubai office starting as soon as possible.

Your Role

As a Junior Underwriter Life/Health, you will play a crucial role in our insurance team, focusing on the assessment and evaluation of life insurance applications, mainly from the MENA. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop their expertise in the insurance industry.

You will work closely with senior underwriters and other departments to ensure that all applications meet our underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to the success of our organization.

The main responsibilities include:

    Evaluation of life insurance applications and assessment of biometric risks with a focus on medical and financial risks as well as special risks in the area of life/health.
    Make informed and evidence based underwriting decisions in accordance with company and compliance guidelines as well as regulations.
    Collaborate with senior underwriters and other departments.
    Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions.
    Reporting, monitoring and audit activities.

Your Profile

    3 to 5 years of experience in life underwriting.
    Highly proficient in English, French, and Arabic.
    Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field – nursing or medical background would be a plus.
    Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
    Proficient user of MS Office products.
