Job Description

Job Title: Energy Management Intern (Global Operations Engineering)

Location: DP World Head Office, Jafza 17, Dubai, UAE

Duration:  3 months

Start Date: January- April

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical intern to join DP World’s Global Operations Engineering (GOE) team in the Energy Management & Decarbonization division. This role will support key projects that drive our decarbonization strategy, including renewable energy deployment, electrification, and alternative fuel initiatives. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to critical business activities like energy consumption analysis, reporting, and compliance support.

Job Responsibilities:

    Support Decarbonization Strategy Execution: Assist in developing and implementing energy efficiency projects, contributing to DP World's decarbonization targets.
    Renewable Energy & Electrification Projects: Collaborate with teams on renewable energy deployment and alternative fuels projects, including hydrogen generation.
    Data Analytics & Reporting: Analyze energy performance data using Excel and Power BI to create insightful dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders.
    Stakeholder Management: Work with internal teams (HSE, Sustainability, Finance, IR) to support integration of the decarbonization roadmap and business planning.
    Quantitative & Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis, Excel, and Power BI, with experience handling large datasets.
    Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with decarbonization principles, renewable energy, and electrification technologies.
    Communication Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present data insights in a clear, actionable manner.
    Project Management: Experience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
    Proactive Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify areas for improvement through innovative approaches.

Preferred Education & Experience:

    Recent graduate or young professional with a degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related fields.
    Experience in data visualization tools (Power BI) and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
    A passion for sustainability and an eagerness to learn about cutting-edge decarbonization strategies.
