As the Chief Development Officer (CDO), you hold a critical leadership position responsible for driving the strategic growth and expansion of the company's portfolio. Your role encompasses identifying and evaluating high-impact development opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and overseeing the successful execution of all development projects. By conducting comprehensive market analyses, feasibility assessments, and fostering strategic relationships, you play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organization. As a key member of the executive team, you will lead cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that all new developments are aligned with the company’s long-term objectives and positioned for success in the region.

Key Job Responsibilities:

    Identify, evaluate, and lead strategic development opportunities in alignment with the company’s vision and long-term goals.
    Shape and execute the company’s regional development strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
    Conduct detailed market analysis and feasibility studies to assess the viability of potential projects.
    Stay informed of market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry trends to inform development strategies and decisions.
    Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with property owners, developers, investors, and other key stakeholders.
    Lead negotiations to secure new property developments, management contracts, and strategic partnerships, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
    Lead the due diligence process for new development projects, ensuring comprehensive and accurate assessments.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery of development projects.
    Oversee the successful launch and opening of new properties within the region, ensuring alignment with brand standards and operational requirements.
    Manage and optimize the development budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and strategic investments.
    Monitor financial performance and ROI on development initiatives to inform future strategies.
    Stay informed about regulatory requirements, zoning laws, and legal factors impacting development in various markets.
    Ensure compliance with all legal, contractual, and environmental obligations throughout the development process.
    Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture within the development team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
    Serve as a key advisor to the Chairman and executive leadership on all development-related matters, offering strategic insights to drive growth.
    Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that new developments align with guest expectations, market demands, and brand standards.
