Senior Project Engineer, ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar, Doha, Qatar

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.

• Ensure adherence to plans and specifications for civil/marine works projects.
• Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and the shipyard operations team.
• Act as the permit coordinator with port authorities.
• Facilitate communication among internal departments and on-site contractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance and quality.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Manage project costs and ensure expenditures are within budget.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare regular progress reports.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee site preparation, including surveys and geotechnical investigations.
• Manage installation and maintenance of essential utilities and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement measures to minimize environmental impact and review technical specifications.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years in project planning, cost control, and execution, preferably in civil or marine construction.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of project management principles and practices; experience with coordinating contractors and regulatory authorities.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in project management software and advanced Microsoft Office.
Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written) and basic oral Arabic.
