Job Description:

We are seeking a highly-experienced and strategic individual to join our team as the Procurement Director. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our procurement function, ensuring cost-effective purchases and optimal supply chain management. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and strategic sourcing. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance procurement strategies and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities in Strategic Procurement

    Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies to meet the company's financial and operational objectives.
    Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.
    Cost Optimization: Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through effective negotiation, strategic sourcing, and process improvements.
    Contract Management: Oversee the drafting and management of procurement contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
    Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to manage supply chain disruptions and ensure continuity of supply.
    Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate procurement performance and supplier effectiveness.
    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, operations, and other departments to align procurement activities with overall business goals.
    Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the procurement landscape.

Essential Qualifications for a Procurement Director

    Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a proven track record of successful procurement leadership.
    Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform procurement decisions.
    Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions from suppliers.
    Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
    Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team towards common goals.
    Tech Savvy: Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications for Procurement Excellence

    MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    Experience in the tech or manufacturing industry.
    Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
