About the Company

Our client is based in Kuwait and provides a wide range of world-class well-drilling and related services to the Oil and Gas extractive industries. The company engages in all aspects of drilling, deep exploration, medium and shallow drilling activities, as well as workover services that enhance the productivity of existing oil wells. In addition we offer support services for operations, such as water well services, and logistics. We also provide advice and consulting services on the type of drilling.

About the Role

Role Description

Working as a key player in the maintenance department, this role focuses on overseeing the upkeep and functionality of various mechanical and electrical systems. With extensive experience required in the field, the position demands proficiency in troubleshooting techniques and project management. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities and effective communication skills to navigate and coordinate with the team efficiently. A problem-solving mindset is crucial to address challenges promptly, ensuring smooth operations. Being results-oriented and resilient complements the performance-driven company culture, emphasizing the significance of achieving and maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical maintenance activities to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
• Manage electrical systems to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Coordinate and execute maintenance projects within established timelines.
• Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance team to achieve department goals.
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Apply problem-solving skills to address maintenance challenges in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize maintenance processes.
• Demonstrate resilience in adapting to changing priorities and handling unexpected maintenance issues.
• Drive results by setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and delivering high-performance maintenance solutions.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record of working as a Maintenance Manager, demonstrating expertise in overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring operational efficiency within facilities.
• The candidate must have accumulated a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, showcasing a deep understanding of maintenance processes and industry standards.
• The Maintenance Manager must have experience in mechanical maintenance, including repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment.
• Proficiency in electrical systems is essential for the Maintenance Manager to oversee the electrical components of the facility.
• The Maintenance Manager should possess strong troubleshooting techniques to identify and solve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Project management skills are required for the Maintenance Manager to plan and execute maintenance projects effectively.
• Leadership skills are crucial for the Maintenance Manager to lead and motivate the maintenance team effectively.
• Effective communication skills are necessary for the Maintenance Manager to communicate with team members, superiors, and external vendors.
• Problem-solving skills are essential for the Maintenance Manager to analyze maintenance problems and implement solutions efficiently.
