Position Internal Auditor

Location: Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain

Employment: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Conducts audits as per the audit schedule and ensures that the audit is conducted based on the internal guidelines.
• Ensures that all regulatory and legal aspects are taken into consideration while conducting the audit.
• Identifies and evaluates risks arising from the operational / business activities, prepares audit reports and provides recommendations, agrees with business heads on the same and presents outcome to the Management.
• Works closely with the team to assist in preparing timely, accurate, and reliable financial management information and annual financial reports to the Management.
• Determines opportunities for cost savings and income generation through audit and consultancy work and ensures expenditure levels are within the allocated budget to contribute to company profitability.
• Communicates with all departments with respect to the audit and compliance perspective, to ensure overall operational efficiency, effectiveness, and service level compliance as and when required.
• Discusses with the business and reaches agreement on audit findings and responds to audit queries following audit reports.
• Supports in reviewing the work and activities of the external audit and coordinating the work between the external auditors and the various departments and ensures that they are provided with all the required information and data.
• Assists in implementation and continuous enhancement of internal audit procedures, standards, and methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in internal audit
• Min of bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or any related discipline.
• Internationally recognized certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CPA, ACA or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of leading practices in internal audit including methodology, tools, and practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Arabic is an added advantage.

• Manama: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
