Health Actuary - Team Lead

    Impact: This role plays a crucial part in ensuring flawless execution of core valuation work and providing technical leadership to a small group of analysts.

    First 30/60/90 Days: The new colleague should aim to establish a strong understanding of the core valuation work, develop proficiency in actuarial software, and contribute to data trend analyses and reporting.

    Training and Development: The role includes a training and development plan to enhance the colleague's skills in health insurance actuarial services and products.

We will count on you to:

    Direct, coach, and guide a small group of entry-level analysts in core valuation work.
    Ensure flawless execution in requesting, gathering, and reviewing vendor/client data.
    Perform actuarial/quantitative analyses and cost projections using Excel, SAS, and other software.
    Prepare reports of data trend analyses and recommend strategies to clients.

What you need to have:

    Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
    Relevant actuarial certifications (e.g., ASA, FSA) preferred.
    Strong proficiency in Excel, SAS, and other actuarial software.

    Advanced actuarial certifications (e.g., FSA).
    Experience in underwriting health and welfare insurance brokering contracts.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
