Agronomy Operations Supervisor, Golf Saudi, KSA

About the role:

     Supervise and execute all aspects of agronomic operations including turfgrass maintenance, irrigation management, pest control, and fertilization programs.
    Lead and mentor a team of groundskeepers, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
    Implement and monitor maintenance schedules to ensure the golf courses are consistently in top condition for play.
    Manage and maintain all equipment related to agronomy operations, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
    Assist in developing and managing the department budget, optimizing resources and expenditures effectively.
    Ensure all activities comply with environmental regulations and promote sustainability initiatives.
    Maintain accurate records of agronomic activities, prepare reports for management, and participate in planning meetings.
    The manager is authorized to assign the employee to any task within the department.

Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turfgrass Management, or related field.
    Proven experience (5+ years) in golf course agronomy or groundskeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills and Competencies:

    Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, irrigation systems, pest management, and fertilizer applications.
    Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
    Understanding of budget management and resource optimization.
    Certification in pesticide application and irrigation management preferred.
    Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
