We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Head Office in Doha, State of Qatar as Senior Commercial Business Intelligence Analyst. This position will be reporting to the Regional Office - East. 

You will be responsible for supporting revenue performance within specific demand segment(s) focusing on structural and tactical initiatives encompassing fare products, incentive programs and tactics across assigned markets. Continuously monitors and analyses returns on individual revenue-steering actions to drive continuous improvement and recalibration of tactics, products and incentive/sales programs. Communicates frequently with Sales and Marketing teams to drive focus in areas of opportunity, providing insights on key performance indicators on market trends, products/incentive performance and tactical initiatives specific to the segment(s) of responsibility, across distribution channels. Acts as the performance owner of the assigned demand segment(s) and provides recommendation on improvement initiatives.

Accountabilities:

    Prepare Analysis and make fact-based proposals to regional and senior management to improve revenue production.
    Provide analysis of distribution channels revenue and cost of sale performance to ensure that KPI’s and metrics are being followed.
    Monitor the performance of structural fare products, incentives and other structural revenue drivers.
    Support Management with ad-hoc analyses and/or project tasks.
    Lead analysis of revenue data to identify improvement opportunities for campaigns, structural fare products and incentive programs.
    Lead communication with Sales and Marketing teams to drive focus in areas of opportunity, providing insights on key performance indicators on market trends, products/incentive performance and tactical initiatives specific to the segment(s) of responsibility, across all distribution channels.
    Lead commercial projects to improve sales effectiveness by setting the project objectives and measuring performance improvement.
    Communicate with regional office and country leaders in executing CBI strategy.
    Research both large scale industry trends as well as new business opportunities to understand best practices and how revenue can be increased.
    Train junior staff in analytics, tools and modelling across any required analytical task.
    Form deep understanding of allocated market segment, customer behavior and according market opportunities; define action plans to extract incremental value where possible.
    Structure and run any complex analysis required including network gauging and connectivity, post-mortems; build templates to allow for efficient repetition of any analysis performed.
    Initiate forming close relationships and direct communication channels with all relevant Field and Head Office stakeholders; educate Field and HO where required pertaining to analytical based decision making and risk evaluation.
    Develop and implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress.
    Perform other department duties and ad-hoc tasks related to position as directed by senior management.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:

    Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent. preferably in Business, Economics, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering.
    Experience in aviation/travel industry is highly preferable.
    Strong communication and presentation skills.
    Technical Skills and Proficiencies:

        Tableau: Expertise in using Tableau for creating dashboards and data visualization. The ideal candidate should be able to connect Tableau to various types of data sources and create insightful reports. Knowledge of Tableau Server for publishing, scheduling, and sharing dashboards is required.
        Alteryx: Proficiency in using Alteryx for advanced data analytics. This includes data preparation, blending, and analysis. The candidate should be able to create complex workflows, macros, and apps in Alteryx. Experience with predictive, statistical, and spatial analysis using Alteryx is highly desirable.
        Data Analysis: Strong skills in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive modeling, and multivariate testing.
