This position reports to

Local Business Area Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to accelerate and expand new product sales for Motion business in Oman (ABB Motion portfolio includes Drives, Motors, and PLCs), get ABB to preferred position with end users, EPCs, OEMs and partners based on quick and reliable support, digital tools etc. Develop and
implement innovative strategies to maintain market leadership in Motion. Secure stronger market
position through creation of a superior customer experience.
The work model for this role (onsite)
This role is contributing to Motion Business Area based in Muscat Oman.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Working closely with end users and consultants from FEED stage to position ABB solution establishing good relationship with EPC and panel builders/ OEM prioritizing ABB products. Selling products/systems to customers, focusing on volume, mix, cash flow and profitability tar-gets for assigned Business.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships and understanding customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and aligning to provide a solution. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviews and propose
recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers, arranging focused product seminars to target customers, involving ASM / Global product Manager, product R&D team whenever needed to position ABB product.
  • Identifying and driving development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensuring knowhow sharing and cross-collaboration (HVAC OEMs, Pumps OEMs, Elevator business potential, Automation system integrators including untapped segments / applications).
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes, and support collection and project management activities when needed. CP agreement and authorization for Oman.
  • Updating and implementing strategy for partner business for the Drives and Motors business.
  • Preparing offers, ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with 8+ years sales experience
  • Good knowledge about VFD and Motors
  • High level of communication and sales skills, assertive and efficient
  • Innovative mind and interest to explore new ideas and build strong relationships – excellent net-working skills.
  • Strong leadership, sales management in Oil & Gas & Metal segment, and change management ca-pabilities.
  • Out-of-the box thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
