Operational Project Officer, Department of Culture and Tourism, UAE

Role Purpose

 

Assists the team in following-up on and management of operational projects, supporting all marketing and communication departments, sections and activities in accordance with team and department directives, marketing and strategic communication sector objectives and priorities, supporting and following up on marketing and communication activity performance across the various sector departments as directed by the direct manager.

 

Key responsibilities

Data and Analysis

    Researches sector developments, maintaining knowledge of sector trends and developments.
    Assists in the study and analysis of relevant customer sales, developing and improving strategies to achieve desired outputs.
    Assists in sector relevant report and document preparation in coordination with relevant internal and external parties.
    Provides support in analyzing customer and target audience behavior for the development of effective marketing and communication plans.
    Assists the team in communication crises development and management plans, ensuring identification of potential scenarios and providing support for implementation in accordance with the team's directives.

Measurement and influence

    Assists the team in following up and updating data analytics platforms, contributing to data collection, monitoring marketing and communication activity and initiative performance.
    Provides support to the team, following up on achieving marketing activity return on investment and allocating appropriate budgets for projects according to set plans and objectives.
    Assists the team in developing a set of metrics to assess and measure desired levels of success for different groups and audiences.
    Participates in researching and identifying technology-based solutions and systems in marketing and communication activities across various sector and department teams.

Shared Activity

    Carries out other activities and responsibilities related to the role assigned at the request of the line manager.
    Follows all policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions of the department, ensuring that work is performed in a consistent and orderly manner.
    Demonstrates commitment to corporate values ​​and ethics, ensuring a value-based culture is embedded in the department.
    Contributes to the identification of continuous improvement and sustainability opportunities in relation to systems, processes and practices in view of global standards, improving productivity and reducing costs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the fields of marketing, communication, media, or equivalent.

 Experience

Graduate role, or 1-2 years’ experience in a marketing, planning or related role.

 

Skills

    Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
    Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Office and Excel)
    Advanced time management skills
    Excellent management skills and attention to detail
    Self-motivation and the ability to get work done in an appropriate manner
    Teamwork and collaboration
    Building Partnerships and Relationships
    Excellent communication skills
