Job Description:

Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Specialist ELV to join our team!

In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD).  KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, and contemporary residences in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.

The Lead Specialist ELV completes various engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses. The ELV Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional proficient in utilizing most engineering theories and practices.  Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation of concepts, preliminary and detailed designs, design reports, and preparation of Tender and Contract documents. These are delivered through tasks related to coordination with clients, stakeholders, and third parties, as well as engineering calculations, plans, design, layout, and project specifications.

The Lead Specialist ELV will also be engaged in the daily monitoring and controlling of the Contractor's design and construction progress related to the ELV Systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant local and international standards, as well as local authorities' requirements, and in accordance with the project's approved schedule.

What You'll Be Doing:

    Perform design/analysis calculations related ELV Systems such as ICT, BMS, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Parking Management System, PLC, ..etc., using governing engineering formulas, standards, skills, and experience.
    Extensive knowledge in ELV systems configuration, commissioning, and integration.
    General Arrangements, Layouts, and plans. Single line diagrams, protection diagrams, schematic diagrams
    Research and prepare design options and documents.  
    Value engineering studies
    Review drawings.
    Extract engineering information from CAD drawings.
    Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
    Frequently interface with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
    Review shop drawings, supplier drawings, and technical submittals.
    Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
    Perform technical tender analyses and prepare tender evaluation reports.
    Provide technical guidance to BIM modelers, CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
    Monitor, Control, and reporting the Contractor design and site progress activities.
    Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Telecommunication Engineering from a major University.  
    Professional Engineer registration may be required.
    10 years of related experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
    At least 2 years as a Design Engineer with some responsibility for supervision of design resources.
    Fluent in International design practices and standards such as IEC, BS, ANSI, and  NFPA.
    Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other engineering design software packages.
    Extensive and knowledgeable computer skills (AutoCAD), BIM.
    Ability to implement quality management system effectively on projects.
    Good spoken and written English is essential.
