Belkin is looking for an experienced fluent Arabic translator with good project management skills starting 1 April 2024. This role will be based in Dubai and working closely with the Language and Digital Marketing Teams based in The Netherlands.

What you’ll do

As a Translator & Project Manager in the field of Localization you will translate from English into Arabic as well as plan, coordinate, execute and finalise translation projects. You will have a diverse range of responsibilities, from translating to reviewing and managing localization projects and communication in a corporate environment.

You will use the RWS tools in place: Trados Enterprise and Studio to translate all required materials, including our Belkin.com website, Amazon content, Marketing materials, campaigns, packaging, apps, and more.

How you’ll do it

You will be working closely with our five Localization Project Managers who are responsible for translations into their native languages, as well as managing localization projects from beginning to end. You will also liaise with different departments and offices in EMEA, US and APAC. Tasks will include:

• Producing translations from English into your native language of packaging content, web copy, marketing materials, video’s etc.
• Manage translation projects: project planning and execution from start to finish
• Communicating with external parties, like vendors, and internal clients, the requesters, to ensure a smooth process and timely delivery;
• Perform localization related administrative tasks
• Translate Marketing content (incl. AMZ, Belkin.com), packaging content, software, other, (Legal an advantage) from English to Arabic
• Review translated content in context/online, etc.
• Update Sales Force Commerce Cloud content directly in SFCC
• Enter Amazon content in Amazon tool
• Ad-hoc travel may be required

What you’ll need

• Fluent in Arabic (oral and written)
• Degree in translation or linguistic studies
• High level of English language (both oral and written)
• Previous substantial Translation experience in Marketing and technical field
• Copywriting and SEO skills
• Graphic design skills an advantage
• Experience with CAT tools (preferably RWS Studio)
• Experience with translation project management tools and managing projects an advantage (preferably Trados Enterprise)
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks and manage deadlines
• Ability to deal with unexpected changes and find creative solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and team orientated, collaboratively
• Affinity with Belkin products
