Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for performing the commissioning of projects with low to medium complexity. Ensure completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The work model for this role (onsite) This role is contributing to Electrification Business Area based in Dubai/Abu Dhabi UAE. You will be mainly accountable for: •Planning and implementing of commissioning activities. Supporting and coordinating the installation activities with the Installation Supervisor or Site Manager. Implementing commissioning design changes and provides mark-ups for as-built project documentation. Supporting continuous improvement of project process or product or system design. •Participating in internal project review meetings and providing inputs on commissioning activities. •Assisting in creating proposals for engineering projects or programs and supporting contract Managers in issuing claims with technical breakdown and justification. Creating work plans and cost estimation for work in one’s area of responsibility. •Conducting risk and opportunity assessments during commissioning phase to ensure implementation of commissioning plan, identifying, and reporting potential risks related to contract, quality, program and cost and recommending resolutions to management. Initiating and monitoring risk mitigation plan(s) and ensuring stakeholders are updated on associated technical risks. •Conducting safety observation tour regularly and reporting and mitigating potential HSE (Health, Safety, Environmental) hazards. •Coordinating site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification. Identifying and recommending new effective solutions to meet business and customer needs. Providing relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with customer. •Supporting Project Manager to ensure availability of commissioning equipment, engineering documentation, systems, or services. •Using standard processes ensuring all commissioning activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Applying and improving processes and tools ensuring effective project delivery. •Maintaining all HSE (Health, Safety, Environmental) protocols, site assessment, informing and correcting any non-compliance.

Qualifications for the role

• Electrical/Electronic Engineer or Diploma Holder
• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading project commissioning activity
• PLC Automation design and commissioning experience with AC500
• SCADA system commissioning and configuration, with ABB ZEE600
• Expertise on IEC61850, GOOSE and MODBUS communication protocols
• Expertise on redundancy protocols, their implementation and troubleshooting at sites.
• Expertise on panel electrical design, schematics and their troubleshooting and rectification at sites
• Fluent in English with good communication skills
• UAE Driving License and willing to travel.
