Position Objective

The primary objective of this position is to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of indoor and outdoor WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) infrastructure. This role demands a thorough understanding of efficient spectrum use, regulatory compliance, equipment selection, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across various environments.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Create comprehensive WLAN architectures for indoor and outdoor environments, detailing access points, antennas, and backhaul connections.
Strategically plan and implement coverage and capacity solutions to meet the project's wireless connectivity demands.
Efficiently allocate and manage frequency bands and spectrum resources.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and licensing for Wi-Fi networks.
Develop and continually update WLAN requirements for designated areas, considering user density, device types, and application demands.
Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate technologies, and design effective Wi-Fi networks.
Select appropriate WLAN equipment, including access points, antennas, and transmission devices.
Evaluate and select bidders for equipment procurement, ensuring the best fit for project needs.
Review and validate WLAN planning designs for coverage, capacity, and indoor solutions.
Ensure all designs align with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
A minimum of 20 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing WLAN infrastructure.
Extensive experience with both indoor and outdoor WLAN environments is essential.
Proven track record of managing large-scale WLAN projects and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Deep understanding of spectrum management, regulatory compliance, and WLAN technologies.
Proficiency in selecting and evaluating WLAN equipment and managing procurement processes.
Strong background in strategic planning for wireless connectivity solutions, with a focus on coverage, capacity, and quality of service.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
