Role Purpose
AVP Project Management/Sr. Project Manager is a seasoned program management professional who will spearhead IT and Health Insurance Solution programs/projects, ensuring seamless organizational change and effective communication with senior stakeholders. Candidate's expertise in health insurance and program/project management will be pivotal in steering programs/projects that deliver on the business case commitments. Additionally, the candidate will apply his/her experience in managing multi-cultural teams and utilizing Agile methodologies to enhance program/project outcomes. The role encompasses not only overseeing general program/project management responsibilities but also is responsible for benefits tracking, risk management, and resource allocation, exhibiting proficiency in orchestrating successful programs/projects within the stipulated timeline and budget. Hands on techno-functional program management experience is a must.
Key Responsibilities
All program/project management activities and not limited to the following key areas of focus:
Insurance Core Transformation: Lead and drive insurance core transformation program to meet strategic goals and business objectives.
Organizational Change Management (OCM):
Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during program/project execution.
Lead the change management process that evaluates transition and gaps in business needs, structure and knowledge
Bridge the gaps between expectation and operations
Responsible for a result-oriented management and development and execution of communication, training, transition and post-delivery business adoption
Implement continual improvement to improve business processes through release process
Senior Stakeholder Communication and Management: Effectively engage and manage relationships with senior stakeholders (VP, SVP, CXO) ensuring program/project alignment with organizational vision.
Health Insurance Experience: Leverage experience in health insurance to guide progams/projects and initiatives in this sector.
Multi-Cultural and Multi-Capability Team Management: Lead diverse teams, ensuring effective collaboration and maximizing the strengths of a multi-cultural and multi-capability workforce.
Business Case Adherence: Manage programs/projects with a keen focus on delivering outcomes as per the commitments outlined in the business case.
Benefits Tracking and Reporting: Develop and maintain mechanisms for tracking program/project benefits, reporting progress, and validating achieved benefits.
Dependency and Risk Management: Identify, manage, and report program/project dependencies and risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Resource Allocation and Utilization Tracking: Optimize resource allocation and track resource utilization to ensure efficient program/project delivery.
Agile Delivery: Utilize hands-on experience with Agile methodologies to drive iterative and efficient program/project execution.
Steering Committee Management: Facilitate and manage steering committee meetings, ensuring alignment with program/project objectives and effective decision-making.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the business and IT relevant field and at least 5 years of change management expertise
Proven experience in insurance core transformation programs/projects is a plus.
Mandatory experience is managing techno-functional progams/projects
Mandatory experience in Insurance domain (health insurance preferred)
Mandatory experience in risk and impact management
Mandatory experience in Agile methodologies (and experience in aligning the methodologies to organizational needs)
In-depth knowledge of health insurance operations and processes.
Strong experience in managing multi-cultural and multi-capability teams.
Proven ability to manage programs/projects to deliver promised business case outcomes.
Proficiency in benefits tracking, dependency and risk management, resource allocation, and utilization tracking.
Relevant Certification is a plus
Bachelor's degree in psychology /IT/Communication
Master's degree is preferred
Senior Stakeholder communication - Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
