Job Description:

Technical Transportation Expert

Qatar

Parsons is looking for a Technical Transportation Expert to join our team! In this role you will get to provide project management and technical advice / specialist support and recommendations to the client on various integrated transportation solutions.

What You'll Be Doing:

    Providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams and clients, ensuring compliance with the industry standards and regulations
    Providing advice on the impact of comfort level, operation, maintenance, and surrounding environment for railway projects
    Participating in various progress meetings and workshops, challenge the design and other submissions of the design consultant.
     Preparing and delivering technical review comments on various deliverables from feasibility study to concept design and eventually preliminary design stage.
    Reporting to the client / client´s representative on the progress of the deliverables and project progress.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field).
    15 years post graduating experience on major transportation projects with involvement in design, installation, interfaces, and testing and commissioning.
    Experience to perform the accountabilities as dictated in section above.
    Bachelor / Master in Transportation / Engineering with broad knowledge of Mobility
    Knowledge in international Railway standards and having strong background in infrastructure related subjects.
    Understanding of transportation policies, strategies, institutions, and Railway Technologies
    Knowledge in Transport Engineering and Technologies - Extensive experience with transport engineering and technologies
    Knowledge in Transport demand, cost estimation, operation and maintenance concept and Rolling Stock fleet calculation would be preferable.
    GCC experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

    Knowledge of transportation with minimum 15 years of experience in major civil infrastructure projects and rail systems.
    Strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with clients and project team members.
    A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
    Ability to multitask and effectively problem-solve under high pressure.
    Ability to communicate and report to senior and executive management.
