SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible to manage and maintain all aspects of the accounts payable accounting functions and its staff, by coordinating, initiating and following up on the processes and practices to ensure that accounting books and records are properly maintained, and that adequate, accurate and timely information is provided and requirements and standards are met.

This position is based in Jeddah & will report to the Chief Accountant.

Responsibilities:

Guide and support the team in carrying out their tasks and ensure smooth co-ordination between departments for overseeing the entire Supplier invoicing recording and Payments Process.

Monitor accounting transactions and govern strict adherence to procedures and guidelines to ensure that accounting books and records are properly maintained, according to Jotun Group policy and local regulations.

Ensure high quality and compliance on financial execution by contacting suppliers in case of discrepancies to be solved, to be perceived as a reliable buyer.

Perform and conduct the monthly and annual accounts payable closing process. Conducting, reviewing and reporting accounts payable financial transactions in order to ensure that the financial reports are prepared correctly, timely, and in compliance with Jotun Finance Policies.

Support the implementation of new tools and techniques to improve the financial reporting routines.

Manage and lead the accounts payables team by setting clear targets and framework, coaching, supporting, following up, and monitoring each team member in line with the Penguin Spirit to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the whole team.

We Look For: 

Qualification: 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance, Preferred - ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent.

3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting function.

Language: English – verbal and written, Arabic will be an advantage.

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
