As our Senior Surveyor, you will conduct marine surveying tasks for our clients. Our Surveyors are specialists in loadout, transportation, towage approvals, general rig consultancy, condition, suitability surveys. We also provide technical and expert witness support to our varied client base including ship owners, P&I Clubs, Underwriters and Solicitors.
What you will be doing.
Take part in technical and procedural reviews and marine study reports covering marine and offshore projects as well as site attendance.
Attend rig moves and other marine operations as required. We will also train you to undertake P&I and H&M surveys.
Assist with preparation of tenders and proposals for offshore Marine Warranty Surveys and other related offshore projects.
Evaluate operational risks and assess the feasibility of Marine operations by technical review of onsite specifications.
Contribute to the development of the Marine and Offshore operations.
Ensure all operations are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures and policies.
Assist and / or lead projects to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to customers within the timeframe, costs and quality standards established by ABL Group and / or the Client.
Responsible for delivery of reports within a timeline established by management and client.
Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.
Provide training, mentoring and motivation to fellow team members.
This position will be based in Abu Dhabi and we can consider Dubai as a base location as well. We are able to provide support with visas and work permits. This position will also require frequent offshore attendance at short notice.
What we are looking for.
Ideally, you will be an experienced Master Mariner or Chief Officer with significant offshore experience. You will be familiar with loadouts, transportation and towage approvals, rig movements, and condition and suitability surveys. More specifically, we are looking for the following:
Master Mariner or Chief Officer (STCW II/2).
At least 7 years relevant experience within the Marine or Offshore Industry.
Exposure to marine consultancy including warranty, vessel and asset inspections, audits, surveys, damage surveys and project management is a significant advantage.
Experience with emplacing Jack-up rigs onto jackets without the use of wires and / or anchors (tugs only) would be an advantage.
