We are currently recruiting for a Rotating Equipment Technician Level III to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
This role provides technical assistance in the repair and maintenance of various rotating equipment in the workshop or at the customer sites.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain and care for all equipment, tooling and machines used.
Work independently and assists other technicians in the workshop or at customer sites in the strip down, clean, inspect, repair and assembly various compressors.
Will be strip down and rebuilding compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines and generators.
Clearance checks for aforementioned equipment.
Records repair work, inventories parts and informs Supervisor of new parts required.
Ensure that all work has been completed, inspected and signed off before passing on the next operation.
Ensure that the work area remains a clean a safe working environment with input into the company performance against the annual QHSE plan.
Performs other related field, maintenance or shop duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills / Knowledge
Proficient;
Various hand tools for Maintenance of Equipment
Understanding of Cleaning and preservation
QC understanding of dimensional check and precision measuring equip.
Ability to Read Technical Drawings for All Rotating Equipment
Knowledge of maintenance of rotating equipment
Sound understanding of the use of high pressure hydraulic tooling
Sound mechanical understanding with all or some of the following: o Geometrical and dimensional checks o Visual inspection of rotating equipment
Knowledge and ability to operate various rotating equipment special tools
Good knowledge of all associated codes and regulations dealing with rotating equipment. Basic;
Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
Solid Microsoft Software knowledge covering Excel, Word and Outlook as a minimum
Basic mathematics skills.
Basic understanding of Rotor concentricity checks, NDT and Balancing checks
Experience
Minimum 5 years previous experience.
Demonstrate advance skills in compressor and steam turbine repairs.
Education Requirements
ITI in Mechanical Fitters + NCVT.
Diploma is mechanical discipline preferred, although not essential.
Physical Requirements
Light physical effort
Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment
May require travel across the Middle East and GCC countries
