PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supervisor will be in daily contact with the team and external agents to ensure all factors contributing the overall transit time and prices are up to customer’s expectations. will be the first escalation and consolidation point for daily complicated cases that may arise between internal and external contributors. Candidate must have excellent communication skills as he/she will be always in contact with sales, agents, operation & customers. Must have good analytical skills to handle multiple logistics responsibilities.
Constantly input data to update shipping orders & inventory control information.
Great record-keeping aptitude & use attention to detail in order to report any damages, discrepancies, or needed reimbursements.
Negotiate with carriers, vendors & suppliers to effectively grow cost-effective partnerships.
Preparing labels & necessary documentation for shipments
Customer service skills to successfully complete their job, freight coordinators must interface with a variety of people non-stop and provide excellent customer serve.
YOUR PROFILE:
Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness and empathy.
Analyzes and resolves complex cross-functional issues.
Well-developed relationship skills and ability to network with multiple levels of an organization and other business units.
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and/or 10-15 years of experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding / Ocean carriers / high volume retailers with Ocean Freight business in the area of transportation, logistics or supply chain.
