Company Description

The 41-storey Mövenpick Hotel and Residence Hajar Tower Makkah, located only a few steps from the holy Ka’abah, offers premium accommodation and first-class hospitality with Swiss service standards managed by Accor. Its location within Abraj Al Bait tower complex gives it  access to a wide range of lifestyle facilities. A privileged location, blessed views, massive capacity, modern amenities, convenience, dining facilities with 5 distinct world-class restaurants appeal to a wide variety of tastes and dine a large number of guests.

Job Description

Reporting to the Genral Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:             

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

Lead the hotel’s day-to-day IT activity ensuring all standards are followed

Comply with the company’s IT Security Policy as it pertains to hardware, software, security/data safety

Ensure proper backup of all business related, user relevant data

Support the hotel’s stand-alone systems, including but not limited to, systems connected to the Network, point of sales systems, all related interfaces, file server, UPS related devices

Take the lead on and execute all IT projects at the Hotel, while supporting and working closely with the Regional and Corporate IT teams

Prepare and administrate the annual IT budget in a fiscally responsible manner

Work and consult with hardware and software vendors to setup and maintain all required equipment

Ensure that the usage and installation of software is in accordance with the software licensing laws

Assist in overall Hotel management responsibilities as needed

Follow departmental policies and procedures

Follow all safety policies

Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Educational background in IT or related field.

Minimum 5-years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an international hotel brand.

Strategic thinker, results driven, process oriented, and attentive to details.  

Able to inspire and motivate a team, providing clear direction, development and guidance to achieve revenue goals.

Change instigator, positive influencer, strong communicator, and a team collaborator.

Strong listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs. 

Able to build and develop relationships with the business partners, and intermediaries.

Able to establish strong rapport with the key stakeholders to ensure there is alignment on strategic direction of the hotels.

Fluency in Arabic and English.

Adaptable, self-motivating individual with ability to bring others along the journey.

Strong decision-making skills, calm under pressure and able to prioritize workflows.
