With over 4,000 employees, Kitopi currently operates 200+ locations across the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar, and runs its engineering hub in Krakow, Poland, its robotics hub in Denmark, and its global customer experience center in Dubai, UAE.
Together with the Product, Engineering, Data, AI, and Robotic departments, we are creating various applications starting from highly personalized selling apps (web & mobile), through the kitchen management system, customer service, delivery, control, and business applications which help us to make decisions and determine the further direction of product development and more. We currently have around 40 applications in microservice architecture and we will constantly be creating new ones.
In brief:
Enhance the BI platform by working closely with the BI architect to improve performance, automating system/platform processes and developing custom visuals that contribute to effective reporting.
Contribute to monitoring the health and performance of BI systems, identify issues, and troubleshoot problems to ensure uninterrupted data availability and reliable reporting.
Enhance the BI practice by working closely with the BI architect to formulate and improve the BI processes including metric definition, requirement gathering, mockup designs, report development and change management
Work with one of the data verticals to help with their reporting needs for leadership and finance.
What You'll Do
Enhance the BI Platform: As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the BI Architect to strengthen our BI platform. Your role encompasses:
Performance Enhancement: Optimize the BI platform for improved efficiency ensuring delivering timely and actionable insights. This involves streamlining processes, reducing latency, and making data retrieval more efficient.
Process Automation: Identify and automate various processes to enhance system usability. This includes change management, access management, continuous integration and deployment, and GIT repositories so that the Analysts are more productive by using it and the end users have a seamless experience.
Custom Visual Development: Custom visuals can greatly enhance the effectiveness of our reports. You will have the opportunity to create custom visuals that are not only visually appealing but also tailored to meet specific reporting needs.
Innovation: You will participate in events and read articles and publications to stay up-to-date with the latest BI technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve the BI infrastructure and processes within the organization.
Monitor and Troubleshoot BI Systems: Maintaining the health and performance of our BI systems is paramount. You will actively participate in:
Monitoring BI Systems: Continuous monitoring of our BI systems, keeping a watchful eye on data pipelines, report rendering, and overall system performance. This proactive monitoring will help us identify issues before they impact our operations.
Issue Identification and Troubleshooting: Identifying the root causes and troubleshooting problems. This is crucial to ensure uninterrupted data availability and the reliability of our reporting.
Elevate the BI Practice: Collaboration with the BI Architect is pivotal in refining our BI practice. You'll contribute to:
BI Process Optimization: Standardize and optimize processes, including metric definition, requirement gathering, mockup designs, report development, and change management.
Enhancing Reporting: Conduct thorough reviews of mockups and reports created by all the teams and add recommendations to ensure they are not only visually appealing but also aligned with a consistent business theme encompassing a unified and comprehensive view.
Metric Building: Assess metric definitions and aggregations created by all the teams and add recommendations to ensure integrity, and consistency and avoid duplication by maintaining the single source of truth.
Support Data Verticals: Your expertise extends to collaborating with data verticals, particularly for:
Leadership reporting: Collaborate with senior leaders to build strategic, high-level reports that aid in organizational vision and strategic decision-making
Finance Reporting: Work closely with accounting and FP&A teams to develop operational finance reports, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. Your contributions will be vital to support their day-to-day activities and financial planning.
What Are We Looking For

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or similar.
4+ years of hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining BI platforms, developing the aggregation layer and reporting at high-growth consumer product companies or similar
Professional experience using any BI tool (Preferably Power BI)
Demonstrably deep understanding of SQL and analytical data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), and hands-on experience implementing ETL (or ELT) and Data aggregation best practices at scale
Hands-on experience with data manipulation tools (Airflow and debt)
Strong data modeling skills and familiarity with the Kimball methodology.
Desire to continually keep up with advancements in BI engineering practices, and ability to enhance reporting Infrastructure using them.
Should have the capability to work independently, possess critical thinking, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and effective presentation skills, and be a good team player with inclusiveness and constructive thinking
Deep familiarity with relevant technologies is a plus.
