JOB DESCRIPTION
Functional Accountabilities
Lead a team of data engineers in the design and development of scalable data pipelines and platforms that support data-driven decision making across the organization.
Work with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that the data infrastructure meets their requirements.
Set and enforce best practices for data quality, security, and governance.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members and help them grow their technical and leadership skills.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical solutions to business leaders.
Manage project delivery, including setting project scope, timelines, and budgets.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field of data engineering and identify opportunities to apply them to the organization's data infrastructure.
Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
Collaborate with data architects and other technical leaders to ensure alignment with overall data strategy and architecture.
Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, platforms, and processes.
Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, as needed.
