Responsibilities:
· Installs, configures and maintains application platforms and systems.
· Establishes and reviews system, application and user security controls while enforcing regulatory compliance standards.
· Provide technical support assistance to diagnose and resolve application issues.
· Open, manage and resolve application issues with external application vendors.
· Find and execute on process improvement opportunities.
Optimize existing workflows and helps develop and implement new workflows.
Work with developers, analysts, and customers to update, maintain, and improve applications.
Analyze and resolve problems according to shifting priorities, time frames and resources, and documents resolutions.
Develop mechanisms and automation for deploying projects and configuration changes across the various environments.
Complete work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
· Be an active member of cross-functional project teams to plan and deliver solutions that meet our business needs.
Provide oral and written status reports to the project manager and/or more senior IT staff.
· Maintain the health of systems including trend analysis for capacity planning, proactive health assessments for performance tuning and recommendations and implementation of best practices.
· Understanding of network devices.
· Create and maintain technical documentation for environments, including network diagrams, installation and configuration procedures, troubleshooting guidelines, and operational procedures.
Investigate and propose ways to maximize benefits from applications and platforms. works with stakeholders to receive approval and implement changes.
Qualification & Skills:
Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent experience.
Comfortable with Enterprise Resource Planning programs and tools.
Fluent in a variety of programming languages, software, and systems.
Able to work in an environment using cloud systems.
Experience working with Linux, Redhat, Windows and other operating systems.
· Experience working with SQL, Oracle and big data solutions.
Solid computing and scripting skills.
Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
· Senior technical application support experience with strong troubleshooting skills and should be able to analyze servers, system dumps, heaps dumps and all logs to determine root cause of issues.
· Leading application upgrades and other technical projects.
· Maintain environments by applying necessary fix & feature packs.
· Stays abreast of emerging software enhancements and bug fixes.
· Understanding on network technologies.
· Good working knowledge of applications third-party components like Apache, Tomcat, MySql, DB2, IIS, etc.
· Knowledge of OpenShift technology is a plus.
