We have an opportunity for a Proposal and Estimation Engineer to position within our Honeywell Building Technologies - Airports team based in Dubai, UAE.
Jr. AGL Engineer is responsible to assist Lead Engineers in detailed Engineering activities as well as onsite installation, testing and commissioning of AGL system by instilling best practice engineering discipline into the process. Whilst ensuring compliance with approved procedures, the role will help evaluate the effectiveness of current engineering methods with the aim of continually improving efficiency and overall benefit.
With the support of Lead Engineer/Engineering Manager, Jr. AGL Engineer will be responsible to ensure delivery of assigned tasks in a timely manner without compromising on Honeywell quality standards to ensure utmost customer satisfaction.
The responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Junior AGL Engineer - Responsibilities
Assist Lead Engineers to ensure Engineering Deliverables are completed on time while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Work closely with Construction Team to ensure installation activities are performed as per approved detailed design.
Conduct site visits to gather as-built information and communicate with Lead Design Engineer on a regular basis.
Actively engage with commissioning team to ensure the functionalities are achieved as per approved design documents.
Attend regular internal training sessions (On-Job, Online & ILT) as suggested by the line manager to gain sufficient knowledge and expertise to handle day to day activities with minimal supervision.
Recovery - direct booked hours
Completeness, accuracy, and timely submission of solutions to internal and external customers
Reduction in rework associated with poor engineering discipline
Overall compliance to benchmarked standards
Compliance on Health & Safety, Quality and delivery methodology
Customer Survey KPI (satisfaction, Advocacy).
Cost Optimization of the Engineering (Value Engineering)
Assist Engineering Manager/Project Manager to actively drive a reduction in project deviations.
Qualification and Experience
Graduate in Electrical Engineering
Effective interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships in a dynamic team environment.
Capability to understand Electrical Drawings
Willingness to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments.
Excellent communication - both verbal and written
Self-motivated
The ability to work under pressure.
A strong commitment to adhere with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Results oriented, Global mindset, Teamwork, Intelligent Risk taking.
Ability to effectively communicate in English language is a plus.
