Overview:

The Business Development Officer is a professional responsible for driving growth and expansion opportunities for the company. Their primary role involves identifying and pursuing new business ventures, partnerships, and markets to increase the company’s revenue and market presence.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Industry: Consultancy

Reporting to: Country Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain positive business and an excellent customer relationships in the effort to extend customer lifetime value.

• Develop strategies for more effective sales, both individually and as part of a team.

• Meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Ensure the delivery of an excellent quality sales service against Key Performance Indicators, which are continually improved and meet the diverse needs of the market.

• Work closely with the Head of Sales department to ensure that all forecast program targets are met.

• Identify and generate leads through various means, including networking, cold calling, online research, and attending industry events.

• Prepare training and service proposals.

• Contact potential candidates for training courses.

• Track client’s communications and information archival on CRM.

• Follow up with clients and fill related clients documents.

• Contribute to the company’s overall growth strategy by providing insights and recommendations based on market research and industry trends.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or any related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales and business development in UAE.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personality Attributes:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for networking and building relationships.

• Analytical skills to assess market trends and identify growth opportunities.

• Negotiation skills for deal-making and partnership agreements.

• Understanding of the industry and the company’s products/services.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Sales and marketing knowledge.

• Time management skills to handle multiple projects and priorities.

• Confidence and resilience for dealing with rejection and setbacks.

• Business acumen and financial understanding.
