Air Freight Ground Handling Operations, A.P. Moller - Maersk, Dubai, UAE

The Air Freight Ground Operations Handler is responsible for daily customs transactions and coordination with respective customers for import, export and local shipments in AE. The person in this position is responsible to communicate to the customer company policies, procedure, programs and laws as applicable to the industry. Excellent communication and product knowledge along with local customs laws and processes is of utmost importance. Closely collaborate with other teams within and across Area’s globally. Act as the first point of contact for Airport Authorities, Airline contacts, customs, customers and actively build strong relationships with each of the relevant parties.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Compliance on all fronts of customs, Dubai Municipality & other AE Govt. Authorities

Complete the terminal activities for Import and Export shipments

Monitor all import shipments arrival and timely transfer to warehouse

Issue the DA and BOE with 100% accuracy

Maintain the tracker for CT,BOE

Timely submit the documents for refunding the deposit amount for Import & Export shipments

Filing and archiving the relevant documents

Solution based proposals to existing and prospective customers

Monitor and replenish Maersk pre-paid accounts & petty cash

Customs Compliance by ensuring the customs team is working with 100% accuracy and in an optimized manner

Support the implementation team with regulations and guidance on process
