Are you a hands-on technology leader and visionary who enjoys solving complex architectural challenges and driving large scale digital solutions in the Retail sector? Would you like to work in one of the world’s most prominent and entrepreneurial technology and engineering businesses whilst helping transform the direction of one of EPAM’s core business units in Dubai?
If so, then EPAM has an amazing opportunity for a Director of Architecture & Technology Consulting Solutions reporting to the Practice CTO.
The role requires a strong background in the Retail sector (both online and offline) where you will be responsible for leading consulting, designing enterprise-level architecture, delving into low-level detail designs as well as implementation of best practices, SDLC, and code quality across all processes. Fluency in English is a must, and proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
We have built up a strong team in the UAE and wider Middle East working with a variety of well-known clients across a number of industries so an interest or experience in other sectors is a strong plus. You will closely align with our tech leadership team, our local EPAM/client businesses as well as our wider multi-disciplinary global teams at all seniority levels.
Responsibilities
Lead innovation and oversee DevSecOps practices to ensure the security of our technology solutions
Collaborate closely with key product managers and delivery managers to align technology with business goals
Manage a team of architects, engineers, and DevOps professionals, providing mentorship and guidance
Understand mobile development, preferably with knowledge of react native, to support our multi-platform approach
Stay updated on modern techniques, technology, and architecture principles, including decomposable architecture, MACH, and BFF as well as standard topology and the Dora project principles
Provide Technology Consulting services covering areas such as architectural review, audit, architectural road-mapping and technical governance
Formulate and present technology business cases across architecture, technology, strategy, IT organisational change management
Requirements
A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar or relevant work experience
Industry visionary and avid technologist at heart with extensive experience in Retail domain architecture, both online and offline
Expertise in enterprise architecture design and the ability to delve into low-level technical details
Previous accountability for DevSecOps practices
Proven track record of implementing best practices, SDLC, and ensuring high code quality
Familiarity with modern architectural principles, decomposable architecture, MACH, and BFF
Understanding of mobile development, preferably with experience in react native
Knowledge of standard topology and the Dora project principles
Excellent ability to influence and guide senior management on technical solutions combined with a consultative problem solving approach
Strong experience in leadings teams of architects, engineers, and DevOps professionals
Knowledge of the Middle East market is desirable
Fluent in English and ideally Arabic
