Job Summary
BASEC part of the Kiwa family since April 2023, is an internationally recognised independent testing and certification body, dedicated to ensuring the safety and conformity of electric cables. Its cable schemes include initial and routine testing of cables, and auditing of designers, manufacturers and distributors of cables. BASEC is now looking for an experienced Customer Account Manager – MENA Region to work alongside and support the Regional Commercial Manager to deliver profitable sales that meet or exceed agreed targets for the area, this role will be based in our Dubai office.
About the role
The role would suit someone who has a degree or professional qualification with commercial experience and who has experience in sales or sales technical background within the Testing Inspection and Certification sector.
Your daily tasks will consist of some of the following components:
Be a BASEC Group & Kiwa Ambassador
Achieve regional sales targets and KPIs
Develop and manage relationships with targeted accounts and their business leaders, supporting the Regional Commercial Manager
Maintain a sales forecasting capability and accuracy
To ensure all sales activities are properly recorded on Salesforce, all records are fully accurate and all company rules around pricing are adhered to.
Responsible for the consistency and quality of all quotes for the required standard/service and the timeliness responses at each stage of the sales process.
Be a team player supporting your BASEC colleagues across other regions, global accounts, and new target markets.
Attend events and customer meetings as directed by the Regional Commercial Manager, this may include local and international travel.
Do you have what it takes?
Experience in sales or sales technical background within the Testing Inspection and Certification sector desirable
Consultative selling, quotation and lead generation skills, engaging and negotiating with prospective clients, experienced in pricing, margin and pipeline management
An understanding of the cable sector and the relevant certification products is desirable
Experience working with CRMs, such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is desirable
An assertive approach to problem solving with strong communication skills
Experienced in working proactively with other areas of the business including marketing, technical and operations to work toward the common growth strategies and targets
