Finance Analyst, Sales & GP, J&J MedTech MEA, Dubai, UAE

Role Overview

-        Key objective of this role is to ensure correctness of J&J MedTech MEA (Middle East and Africa) Revenue and GP postings, including reserves, exchanges, returns, deferrals, and other financial adjustments

-        Coordinate creation, maintenance and release of revenue and GP reserves in a timely and compliant manner, in accordance with SOPs

-        Develop deep expertise in areas of sales and GP, including understanding of key business segments, franchises, and platforms

-        Leverage RPA tools to prepare monthly management reports and dashboards for sales & GP

-        Drive development of new RPA / automation solutions with the aim of reducing month-end cycle time

-        Understand and explain drivers of GP variances (country/product mix, price, etc.)

-        Coordinate with GS and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely revenue recognition based on principles of US GAAP and J&J policies and procedures

-        Own planning, month-end reporting and controlling (BVA) of other items impacting GP: purchase price variance, inventory adjustments, free goods, freight/duties, etc.

-        Manage quarterly latest estimate submissions for sales & GP and subsequent variance analysis to understand and explain the reasons for any differences between actuals and estimates. Drive development of automation solutions in this area.

       Lead full GP planning for forecast cycles.

Duties & Responsibilities

-        Monthly close

o   Prepare sales and GP reports (Country sales file, Sales Dashboard, GP Analysis, sales commentary files, and others) in line with standard month-end schedule

o   Coordinate postings and release of revenue (gross-to-net), COGS and Addback reserves and adjustment entries

o   Thoroughly understand and own sales and GP reserves, in collaboration with Business Unit Finance Controllers

o   Ensure correctness of sales and GP postings to enable meaningful management reviews

-        Business partnering

o   Drive consistency and integrity of financial processes where related to sales and GP (planning, month end, short-term forecasting, management reporting, analytics)

o   Provide insight into impact of sales and GP drivers on reported financial performance (including GTN, Std COGS, PPV, Inventory Adjustments, FOC, OCNIS)

-        Management reporting

o   Prepare quarterly SGP review decks for Middle East management Board reviews

-        Business planning

o   Lead GP planning process by providing insights and driving consistent approach; set up planning templates; ensure overall process integrity

o   Collaborate with Business Unit Finance Controllers and Commercial Excellence team to ensure key insights are captured in GP planning (anticipated price changes, product mix changes, etc.)

-        Collaborate with regional GS and FP&A teams to ensure integrity of plan submissions and actuals

-        Support the BUF team on ad hoc tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

Qualifications

-        Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related area

-        Minimum 3 years of work experience in Finance

-        Highly skilled in MS Excel; ability to work with large datasets quickly and efficiently

-        Knowledge of Power Query and Power BI are a major advantage

-        Sense of urgency and ability to work under time pressure while keeping high level of quality

-        Strong communication skills; ability to summarize and articulate complex concepts in simple ways

-        Ability to work in a highly complex, dynamic environment

-        Working knowledge of JDE 8.12 and SAP are an advantage

Fluency in English (written and oral)
