The opportunity
The role is to manage the accounts payable processes, including verifying the accuracy of invoices, payments, and records.

Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and verifying invoices and check requests.
Reviewing weekly payment runs and highlighting issues to AP Manager where needed.
Processing payments in a timely manner.
Reconciling accounts.
Keeping updated records of invoices and payments.
Developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors.
Assisting with other accounting duties as needed.
Resolving any queries that have been escalated/are urgent. Pass to AP Manager if deemed necessary.
Reviewing supplier reconciliations.
Managing posting of Intercompany journals/invoices by AP assistants – correct and timely.
Managing urgent payments outside of the normal process.
Monitoring PO and invoice holds reports, ensuring they are sent regularly, and any queries are resolved.
Ensuring invoices are processed before month-end close focusing on high value, generating trial balance and sub-ledger reports & submit them to finance managers.
About you
You have a relevant degree. You have working experience in a finance department. You have strong knowledge of Microsoft office.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
