Job purpose

 

Support the activities for Demand Management Sales & Marketing  (SALES - MARKETING), under delegated authority from  Manager Demand Management Commercial & Support Functions, acting as single point of contact between Sales & Marketing (OPM) at IDS function, by (1)  Using a deep understanding of business processes and technology to Identify and elicit requirements capturing and prioritizing business demands, and (2) Provide support on business-led technology initiatives and ensure seamless and value orientated IT service delivery; in order to support Information Management & digital Transformation at OQ Commercial & Downstream (OPM) functions / units to ensure the continuity and efficiency of the business.

The Chemicals Demand will represent IT and act as internal consultant to Commercial (SALES - MARKETING) Process Owners helping to develop business cases for all IT investments, managing system enhancements and changes, to ensure that OQ’s IT Systems and Applications are aligned with the needs of the company.

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

Maintain Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), demand process for new proposals with responsibility for steering these proposals through the early phases of approval.
Develop and enhance relationships with key all Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), business stakeholders. This includes building positive relationship development, both horizontally and vertically, actively managing escalation of IT support requests, ensuring timely response, monitoring satisfaction levels and avoiding risk.
Address Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), business demand by capturing high level technology requirements and identifying opportunities to add value.  
Ensure high level technology impact analysis is provided to business.
Provide functional and level 2 support on all Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), related applications and systems.
Ensures adherence to Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), best practices during implementations and matches these activities to available systems capabilities or researches and recommends alternatives.
Support Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), Process Owners on prioritization of work and IT resources to optimize available resources and funds.
Participate in projects in particular the area of process, cost-benefit analyses, QA/UAT testing as needed and training.
Advice Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), Business Owner with regards to SAP and other supporting systems related decisions, and ensure the business units understand the technology solution, overall solution delivery, and compliance to governance processes, architecture standards, etc.
Resolve cross process issues with Demand Specialists in other functions and identify and leverage synergy potentials across business units.  
Keeps Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), Process Owners informed of potential IT solutions.
Maintain active communication with Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), stakeholders both during normal business conditions and in case of crisis. This includes establish communication processes and channels across Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), business functions.
Identify and mitigate potential problems in the quality of services provided by IDS to the Commercial (SALES - MARKETING), business.
Promote and communicate IDS policies, standards and processes.

Transportation and Distribution
Hydrocarbon Product Management (Silo Management and QCI)
MAP- (Marketing, Accounting and Pricing): Formula & Average Pricing
MCOE – (Marketing, Contracts and Order Entry)
TSW – Traders and Scheduler’s Workbench
 

Integration with SD and MM.

Should have handled (1) SD: Contract to Billing, with Logistics Execution. (2) MM: Purchase Contract till Goods Receipt
Support Business Users for issue resolution in the Business processes of IS Oil/TSW - SD & MM.
 

Key interactions

Internal: IDS, OPM

External: 3rd party Contractors, Vendors & Suppliers

Notable Working Conditions. Office environment, intensive computer screen use, sporadic visits to operation site.

Education requirements

Minimum Qualifications for this position is a Bachelor’s degree IT or related disciplines.
Language

Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)

8+ years of relevant experience

 

 

Relevant experience in similar role, in a large oil industry industrial organisation.
 

Knowledge of SAP and ERP and in the following applications and systems:
 

SAP SD,

Sales and Distribution

SAP MM

Knowledge in Materials Management

TSW

Traders & Scheduler’s Workbench

TD

Transport and Distribution

HPM

Silo Management and QCI

MAP

Formula & Average Pricing

 

Broad knowledge of various Performance Chemicals business processes
Experience of building relationships with leadership, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels
Knowledge of portfolio management & performance monitoring.
• Minimum 5 years SAP IS-OIL & Gas, Downstream

• Minimum 4 years SAP TSW experience in areas such as;

TSW Applications:
Nomination,
Ticket,
Stock Projection Worksheet (SPW),
3 Way Pegging Rail,
Pipeline, Marine,
Truck scenarios
• Integration experience with: SD, MM, TD, HPM QCI as an SAP TSW IS Oil and Gas Consultant

• SAP-IS OIL Implementation experience: Requirements gathering, Design, Construction, Testing

• Deep SAP knowledge of SAP TSW Logistics (examples: Secondary Costing, Pricing, Billing, Settle Management and experience in multiple areas of TSW is preferred.

• Multiple full cycle implementations with hands-on SAP experience.

• Deep understanding of Oil and Gas industry business processes.

• Detailed planning of process implementation

• Demonstrating basic knowledge of modeling standards and tools.
