RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Client and wider team in ensuring the successful execution of the project.
Assist the Client in the establishment and maintenance of Governance for the project.
Management includes the functions, processes, procedures and roles/responsibilities that define the project's set-up, management and control.
Support the Client in the day-to-day management of the Project Delivery Team.
Ensure completion and coordination of design in accordance with a project brief, cost plan and schedule.
Provide project management support, guidance and assistance to all Client delivery team members, particularly the design and construction managers.
Ensure that accurate and timely correspondence is administered in accordance with the project protocol.
Ensure procurement of general contractor and provisional sum sub-contractors in accordance with cost plan and schedule.
With support from Project Controls Manager, assist all contract and project controls procedures, including contract preparation, procurement, change management, evaluation and recommendation on variation and claims, budget and cost control, project planning and schedule compliance, reporting, etc.
With support from Construction Manager, assist with all construction activities, including compliance with design, shop drawings, technical submittals, RFI’s, change management, authority approvals, QA/QC, procurement, construction, commissioning, snagging, closeout, etc.
Ensure a health and safety culture is disseminated within the team and throughout practices and procedures of all Parties.
Chair weekly Project Meetings with the Client/Consultants/Contractors, as required.
Manage and update weekly the project management documents; prepare Weekly Reports (dashboard), and Weekly meeting minutes, as required.
Develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the team and outside the team (3rd party entities).
Liaise with the Client and all team members for each package to determine objectives and scope and initiate/manage the Value Management process.
Carry out reviews to ensure that process or regulatory requirements are achieved.
Oversee the permitting process; ensure that all responsible parties expedite their applicable permits.
In the absence of the Client, fulfil the PD role temporarily.
QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in Planning, Engineering, or Project Management.
Minimum of 15 years of planning/project controls experience.
Relevant Middle East experience.
Sound knowledge of all design, procurement, construction and handover phases
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
User of MS Office and Aconex.
Proven experience on similar projects.
Undergraduate degree in Planning / Engineering / Project Management.
