Senior Planner, Sharaf Retail, Dubai, UAE

Job Purpose:

Responsible for developing and implementing merchandise plans to ensure that inventory levels are maintained in line with sales trends and projected demand. They analyze sales data and consumer behavior to identify trends and forecast demand, and make recommendations for purchasing and inventory allocation.

Responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained in line with sales forecasts, and optimizing inventory turnover to minimize the risk of overstocking or stock-outs.

Analyzes sales trends and financial data to identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and process improvement. They monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, inventory turnover, gross margin, and profit margin, and use this data to make informed decisions and recommendations.

Works closely with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, finance, and supply chain to develop and execute merchandise plans, and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

Responsible for managing a team of planners and analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to support their professional development and performance.

Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the merchandise planning and allocation functions.

Monitors market trends and competitive activity, and uses this information to develop strategic plans and identify areas for growth and improvement.
