JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for: (The main job activities)
Being the focal point within the department for all relevant OHS&E issues.
Communicating OHS&E matters advised to him from management through the line of communication within the department.
Assist in the promotion of safe working practices & OHSE issues within the department.
Assist in the promotion of all safety alerts from the Health &Safety Department and take part in Toolbox talks.
In the event of a fire, other emergency, or drill, assume the role of emergency Coordinator / Fire warden.
Inspection of job activities on board and workshop, update the existing risk assessments and develop new risk assessments for new activities.
Safety, Quality and Environment Non conformity report raising / tracking and monitoring.
Preparation of documents for the monthly internal HSEQ meeting and records keeping.1
Raising near misses and maintaining records.
Liaison and coordinate with Safety, Quality and Environment Departments regarding Safety, Quality and Environment issues.
Investigation of accidents and incidents and reporting to the concerned personnel.
Preparation of the department management program, maintaining records and statistics
Maintain Training Need Analysis, Training Matrix, Statistics, and scheduling of training
Maintain records of all activities for various Safety, Quality and Environment audits.
Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
Preferred Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Training in Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor / IOSH / HSEQ related Trainings
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar field
