Job Purpose
Works with Regional Marketing Manager, translating segment strategies, market research, and customer requirements to create a detailed regional strategic plan with related key tactical actions.
Supports and coordinates strategy execution by ensuring delivery of marketing plan and reaching customers through a variety of channels in order to drive demand.
Co-ordinates the creation of competitive advantage and executes in tandem with the sales organization and other functions to create winning market positions.
Key Accountabilities
Under the direction of the regional marketing manager, works as the interface with sales on key areas of strategic implementation, driving sales activation through the implementation of segment planning activities – and tracking progress
Works with the Regional Marketing Manager translating segment strategies, market research, and customer requirements to create a detailed regional strategic Segment plan with related key tactical actions
Collect and maintains data about competitors, in conjunction with sales to better understand our competitive advantage and areas of differentiation, feeding back insights to segment team and product group
Carries out regular assessment of customer and market requirements with regards to products and services – works with Product Group to ensure product and service portfolio requirements are met
Support sales by analyzing which customers fit within the segment and regional strategies
Implements to schedule, global segment-led concepts in order to deliver sustainable differentiation in the market
Analyses market data to support/identify key segment opportunities with regions for feedback to segment teams
Works with Segment teams to establish clear needs-based customer segmentation in the region in order to drive differential management of customers
Maintains product knowledge and sales techniques and trends
In alignment with the Marketing Excellence team, works with selected/approved 3rd party vendors to ensure delivery of approved shows, exhibitions, and customer events
Liaises with Segment and Marketing Excellence teams to implement relevant marketing campaigns in the region. With guidance from Regional Marketing Manager and sales, selects relevant channels to reach the target customers, taking responsibility for planning and executing sales activation activities around those channels
Supports short-term product improvement (LWR) activities/prioritization led by Product Group by providing direction and market insight
With the support of the BU Marketing Communications team, develops and executes communication plan for the region
Contributes to the creation and execution of marketing collateral and plans for regional communication
Works closely with BU Communications team on story creation and contributes to the annual media plan for specific industry publications
Supports regional PMR process, working with Product Group and segment teams to collate necessary input
Be familiar with all applicable corporate and site policies/procedures regarding personal conduct, and HSE standards and always in compliance with all applicable regulations
Prepares and implement regional product launches, develop a plan to deliver and align with a global product manager, commercialization manager, and sales teams
Experience & Role Requirements
Demonstrates strong performance orientation
Showcase organizational acumen
Solid interpersonal and influencing ability
Self-starter, proactive, and able to work independently
Willingness to search for regional and customer insights that can enable differentiation in approach
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business
Min. 7-10 years of working experience
Experience in a commercial environment
Ideally experience in more than 1 area of marketing and/or sales
Some work experience in a tech/tech service role is an advantage
Industry knowledge and market knowledge (MEA) is an advantage
Analytical mind with good financial acumen
