Project Engineer

Sharjah, , UAE

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the project team responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities internal and external client facing, under the direction of the Operations Manager. They will also be involved with project specific engineering checks as well as ensuring projects are carried out in compliance with the Quality Management system which encompasses Occupational Health & Safety, Environment Protection and Quality Assurance.

 

Responsibilities:

·     Assist with determination of project requirements.

·     Prepare project planning documents.

·     Attend Project Meetings and minute actions.

·     Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades

·     Use project scheduling and control tools to prepare and monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.

·     Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the Motive team.

·     Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

·     Assist the Operations Manager in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval.

·     Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others.

·     Keep the Operations Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.

·     Prepare, review and sign off documentation packages for client operations to include all relevant certification, data sheets, Manuals and other documentation

·     Assist with in field personnel selection and logistics in conjunction with client requirements and internal stakeholders.

·     Prepare al mobilization orders

·     Assist Workshop team in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance based on up coming requirements

·     Comply with and promote health, safety, quality and environmental regulations and policies, and the Company’s management system

·     Be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd

·     To uphold the Motive Offshore Group People Values

 

Required skills / knowledge:

·     Experience in Management Systems BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001

·     The ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of staff

·     Excellent computer literacy

·     Engineering degree or experience.

·     Experience of Mechanical, Hydraulic, and electrical equipment would be advantageous

·     Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.

·     Assertive with meticulous attention to detail.

Proven project delivery track record within the Marine / Offshore industry in the Middle East
