JOB TITLE: SERVICE ENGINEER
LOCATION: DUBAI, UAE.
REPORTING TO: SERVICE MANAGER
PURPOSE
Carrying out both chargeable and warrantable service work within the Middle Eastern region.
Increase Aftermarket revenue by developing regional service / technical / commissioning capabilities both directly and through distribution partners.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Enhance the drive for original equipment manufacturers’ aftermarket parts and service.
Provide regional customers with diagnostic / troubleshooting, support and advice to improve reliability of equipment.
Perform maintenance, repair and commissioning work where necessary. To the highest standards
PERSON SPECIFIC
Experienced. Adaptable and flexible. Good communicator. Sympathetic to numerous cultures and work practices.
Tolerant yet persuasive and encouraging. Seeker of continuous improvement.
Ability to work both autonomously and within a wider team
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Technically competent in mechanical engineering.
Experience of servicing rotating machinery ideally from with the compressor industry.
Experience in rotary screw and reciprocating compressors oil lubricated and oil free, portable and industrial, additional experience in centrifugal compressors would be advantageous.
Experience in desiccant and refrigerant dryers
Used to working in challenging environments
PC Literate – Microsoft suite of programs
Fluency in written and spoken English essential, additional languages would be advantageous
Clean driving licence, preferably UAE or transferable to a UAE driving licence.
