Retail Strategy is responsible for strategy development and implementation for Retail Banking Key areas of responsibility for the team includes ensuring alignment of plans and actions across all BUSUs with division and bank objectives support development of strategic planning and implement required strategic initiatives for the division and units help prioritize ongoing and planned initiatives to enable allocation of resources effectively build market intelligence and benchmarking to identify regional and international best practices

The proposed hire will be for the position of Manager Strategy in the job band P reporting to the VP Strategy RBWM who will head the unit with the departure of the current head
Detailed Description:
The role will be integral to the Retail Strategy team and will support strategy development and implementation across the division strategy development as needed for business and support units initiate and support new business development carry out internal and market benchmarking and collation of market intelligence
Job Requirements:
Key job responsibilities of the position are
Support strategy development and implementation across RBWM collect and condense relevant strategy information business initiatives internal data across the division Identify and analyze growth opportunities align with overall bank strategy and plans Assist with preparation and alignment of scorecards Hold workshops and discussions to understand business focus and support in developing a strategy roadmap Prepare documentation for key forums such as CEO business reviews and others
Strategy development for business and support units analyze performance identify opportunities assist with preparation and implementation of strategic initiatives and plans Help develop action plans to improve performance of unit with the team Track initiative implementation based on defined milestones and KPIs
Conduct benchmarking exercises and identify best practices gather information on competitors performance and key initiatives and define business vision and action plan Carry out syndicated studies with external firms
Provide support for key projects Provide analytical support to the team for coordination and implementation of key projects on an ongoing basis Work with Group Strategy and other teams in the bank on assignments and programs as needed
Support on regular deliverables including award submissions rating agency presentations offsite related preparations GEM awards coordination and others
Additional Details:
Degree from top ranking universities with preferred majors in economics marketing business administration finance with an outstanding academic record Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
Overall 5 to 8 years of experience of which 2 to 4 years in the banking industry Some consultancy experience is desirable
Local market experience is an advantage
